A new research center dedicated to the fight against cancer will land in Candiolo, in addition to the Institute-Irccs, which will soon be equipped with a new Oncolab. The investment is from the U.S.-based Sbarro Health Organization (SHRO), which will open the first part of the hub at “Via Sestriere 17” in September, with a floor entirely dedicated to research. A gala ceremony of the Franco Salvatore Foundation’s “I Don’t Want the Moon” was held in Taranto, at the Aracnea Pole of the “Feb. 7, 1985” Municipal Auditorium in Castellaneta, during which the Sbarro Institute for Cancer Research and Molecular Medicine and the Center for Biotechnology at Temple University in Philadelphia presented a scholarship. The funding will support a young person for a fellowship or PhD in the field of oncology with presence abroad for a period of one year.
